Welcome to the Essential Guide for Motorcycles, Helmets, Clothing, Accessories and Riding Gear
There's just something about motorcycles. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, it’s not easy to get the information you need about new bikes and the riding gear you need to enjoy yourself to the fullest. I am building the thinking motorcyclist’s guide to all of this as well as information on new models, tips, and even racing info and coverage.
The goal is to provide the information the smart rider needs to make his or her own decision about what gear to buy, online sources of OEM cycle parts as well as the aftermarket performance and custom parts to make your bike perform and look its best.
There are as many types of motorcyclists as there are different models of bikes they ride. Every rider needs some gear to outfit their bike and themselves for the road, however they choose to ride. Whether you like to eat up mile after mile of open highway on a cruiser with your feet up on the highway pegs or prefer to tackle the curviest ribbon of pavement you can find on the latest big-bore superbike, you occasionally need some new or replacement motorcycle gear to get the most out of your riding experience.
Need advice on buying that new helmet you’ve been thinking about? It’s not a simple thing to evaluate which one has the features you need for the type of riding you enjoy most. And I’ll give some links on where you can buy what you need.
And what worth riding isn’t begging to be raced? Motorcycle racing is arguably the most exciting motorsport on the face of the planet. No rollcages here! With MotoGP and Superbike riders leaned over dragging knees on a roadracing course, motocross bikes triple jumping 30 feet into the air, and tire-shredding drag bikes scorching through the quarter mile at insane speeds, the adrenaline rush isn’t just for the racers.
